e-admission

e-admission has been introduced in DR B.R AMbedkar National Degree  College since the Academic Session 2011-12.

The objectives of introducing e-admission is to

  • ensure single window system for admission through e-admission process
  •  make the admission process economical for the applicants/parents.
  • Make the entire process of admission from application to admission transparent, thereby reducing anxiety among applicants/parents.

An Internet facility centre shall work in the college soon after the publication of the result of CHSE Odisha to facilitate the Applicants on payment in filing in the Online Common Application Form(CAF). Officers will be there in each stream to help the Applicants in e-admission.

Common Prospectus

Common Prospectus containing general guidelines and College profile is available in Higher Education Website www.dheorissa. in.

  1. Admission into different classes of the college can not be claimed as a matter of right. The Principal reserves the right to refuse or cancel any admission without assigning any reason there of.
  2. Merit, Conduct and Discipline are the key factors for admission.
  3. Admission into different classes begins soon after the publication of the results of the concerned Board/Council/University examination as per the programme fixed by the Dept. of Higher Education, Govt. of Odisha from time to time.
  4.  Applicants desirous of taking admission in Hill-Top Degree College  are advised to go through the Common Prospectus (CP), which is available in the website of Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Odisha dheorissa.in in downloadable format which outlines the details of e-admission process.
  5. Applications incomplete in any respect shall be summarily rejected.
  6. Application for admission received after the expiry of the last date, as notified by the Government, shall not be entertained.
  7. Selected candidate shall download the intimation letter regarding the date and time of admission, allotted subjects and fees payable to the college and has to produce it on the day of admission.
  8. Admission of the applicant will be taken up for follow up steps on production of valid intimation letter signed by the principal or by any other competent authority. College will not be held responsible for any kind of lapse, delay or technical lapse.
  9. Admission committee, constituted by the authority of the principal, reserves the right to regulate the process of admission into different classes. The Committee can frame any other rule in addition to the existing rules to be implemented for admission with due approval of the principal.
  10. Selection to the Honours classes shall be made after the admission process is over through merit and choice locking . However, students have to specify their choices in order of preference in the application form for admission at the time of submitting e-application.
  11. Students passing from other Boards or  Councils have to produce the migration certificate at the time of admission along with equivalent certificate issued by the competent authority, failing which his/her admission shall be cancelled.
  12. A candidate shall forfeit his/her claim, if he/she fails to take admission on the specified date and time as intimated/noticed.
  13. From the date of admission he/she became a bonafide student of the college and he/she is to be guided by the college rules and regulations as framed from time to time.
  14. After admission each student of  +3  will be assigned with a roll number recorded in the admission register of the college and there after all correspondence relating his/her academic matters shall be made with that roll number.
  15. As per the order of the Department of Higher Education Govt. of Odisha, framed from time to time reservation of seats for admission into +3 1styear classes will be made to which no one can challenge.
  16. Any applicant claiming a seat from the reservation quota must enclose Xerox copies of relevant certificate issued by the competent authority duly attested by a Gazetted Officer along with the application form and produce the original for verification as and when directed by the college authority. Production of such certificate does not confer any right for a seat

PROCEDURE FOR THE SELECTION OF HONOURS (+3)

  • Honours teaching is available in History-32 seats, Political Science-16 Seats and Education-32 seats, Odia-16 seats, English -32 seats only in Arts.
  • Application for Honours is compulsory .
  • There is no provision of seat reservation for Honours selection.
  • Selection of Honours shall be made during the admission for Ist year +3, on the basis of the preference given by the applicant in the admission form through SAMS.
  • Selection of Honours subject is purely based on merit and the student must carry out the instruction of the teacher to present paper for seminar or group discussion as the case may be.
